You’ve carried something for a long time. Perhaps it began in childhood. Perhaps it came through a relationship that left you doubting your own perceptions, or a loss or life change that stirred up old pain you thought you’d put behind you.
You might notice anxiety that seems to come from nowhere, nightmares, a heaviness that won’t lift, or reactions that feel bigger than the moment calls for. It can feel “crazy-making” when you can’t connect what you’re feeling to where it came from.
These symptoms aren’t signs that something is wrong with you. They’re signs that parts of you have been working very hard to protect you.
I work with adults healing from:
Trauma is held in the body, the nervous system, our beliefs, our emotions, and the soul.
I approach trauma from all of these directions, within a depth-oriented, Jungian framework that honors both your symptoms and the meaning beneath them.
Depending on what you need, our work may include:
EMDR: Helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they lose their emotional charge. Learn more →
Parts Work (IFS): Gets to know the protective parts of you with compassion, rather than fighting them. Learn more →
Sandtray: A way to express what’s hard to put into words, using symbols and images. Learn more →
DreamTending: Works with your dreams as messages from the deeper psyche.
Connection-Focused Equine-Assisted Therapy: Horses offer honest, in-the-moment feedback that can reach places talk therapy can’t. Learn more →
All of this is woven together with traditional talk therapy, at a pace that feels safe for you.
For over 25 years, I’ve specialized in helping people heal from trauma. I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology, am an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist, and have trained extensively in Parts Work, Sandtray, DreamTending, and Connection-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
My work is grounded in Jungian depth psychology and the belief that healing involves not only relieving symptoms but becoming more fully and consciously yourself.
