What happens in the first few sessions? 

We'll start by getting to know each other. I'll ask about what you're struggling with, your history, and what you hope will change. There's no pressure to share everything at once. Building safety comes first, and we move at your pace.

Do I have to relive my trauma in EMDR? 

No. EMDR doesn't require you to describe your trauma in detail or talk through it over and over. Many clients are surprised by how much shifts without having to say much at all. Before any memory work, we spend time building resources that help you feel grounded and steady.

How long will therapy take? 

It depends on what you're working through and your goals. Some clients come for a focused stretch of EMDR; others choose longer-term, depth-oriented work. We'll check in regularly about how things are going.

Do you offer in-person and virtual sessions?

 Yes. I see clients in person in Silverdale and virtually anywhere in Washington State. EMDR works well virtually, and many clients appreciate doing this work from the comfort of their own space.

Do I need experience with horses for equine therapy?

 No. All equine work is done on the ground, with no riding involved, and no prior experience is needed. Sessions take place at a ranch in Poulsbo.

What are your fees?

• 50-minute therapy session: $175
• 50-minute case consultation (for clinicians): $175

Do you accept insurance? 

I'm an out-of-network provider, so payment is made at the time of service. I can provide a superbill (an insurance-ready statement) that you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. It's worth calling your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

What is your cancellation policy?

 Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less notice are charged the full fee.
